What kind of training is required to be part of the team?
There is no specific training required. Some of our members have been dancing their whole lives and some have never taken a class. Acceptance to the team is based on many factors including: personality, attitude, willingness to learn, technique, retention, and many other factors.
When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are held on the following days:
- Tuesday 6:30-9:30 pm in Room 201 of the Student Center
- Sunday 1:00-6:00 pm in the Berkshire Gym
These times and places are subject to change at any time. We make every effort to ensure that practices are always held on campus, but there are times when you will be expected to meet at a studio off campus.
What should I wear to rehearsals?
Comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. Anything that you would normally wear to dance or work out is appropriate. You will never be permitted to dance in jeans, jewelry, or overly baggy clothing. You should have a pair of sneakers with non-marking sole or any appropriate dance shoe.
What if my class schedule conflicts with rehearsal times?
The team only meets twice a week, so you are expected to attend both rehearsals. If your class schedule conflicts with either day, you will be asked to audition again the next semester when your schedule frees up.
When and where does the team perform?
The team performs at various football and basketball games, as well as many on- and off-campus events throughout the school year. There is generally a short showcase at the end of the Fall semester, and a full-length concert at the end of the Spring semester.

Do you compete?
Yes. The team participates in at least two competitions per season.
